Our priority is your safety, the safety of our staff, and the safety of our communities.
When common sense practices are observed, our work with you and others involved in the work, such as your family members and accountant, can continue without interruption by:
- Phone
- Zoom
- Personal visits when required
We can still do all the work we were doing for you by computer
We’ll be able to share each other’s screens, including bookkeeping software and your password vault.
Secure email access
All your income notices and electronic billing can be accessed through email from our offices. For added convenience and security, most of our clients obtain a new email address when we begin working with them.
Easy options for regular mail
You can send your regular mail directly to Mindful Money Management at our Maryland address, we can pick it up at your mailbox, or you can arrange for your local post office to forward your mail to us.
Safe, convenient paperwork pickup and shipping
If you have a backlog of papers that you would like us to sort for you, your daily money manager can box the papers, following CDC guidelines for safety, and bring them to her office.
If you live out of state, a vetted colleague of ours in your area can box them and ship them to your daily money manager.
If your building is on lockdown and it’s urgent for us to obtain the papers, we can do so in a way required by your building administrator or recommended by the CDC. For example, if you’re moving.
All communication and file transfers are secure
We adhere to a strict cybersecurity policy that protects emails, files storage and file transfers, passwords, and software.
Requirements for personal visits
During the pandemic, we believe it’s best for all parties if the work is done remotely.
Personal visits are limited to work that must be done in person, such as picking up files or correspondence or obtaining your signature or the signature of others.
If visitors are allowed in your building and you’re a local client, your daily money manager can see you in person if the following commonsense principles are observed:
- You, your family, and your daily money manager agree to follow CDC recommendations and the requirements of your building or facility.
- You monitor your health and your visitors monitor theirs.
- If you or any visitor feels unwell or has been in exposed to anyone who feels unwell, you agree to inform us and cancel the appointment.
- All parties must wear masks whenever in public and must not have been in a large gathering for two weeks before the visit.
- During the visit, you and your daily money manager must stay a minimum of 6 feet apart.
What if your daily money manager becomes ill?
All information regarding our work for you will be made accessible to a vetted backup money manager. Since we all use the same software and methods for maintaining your files, the transition will be seamless. So you’ll be able to count on the same quality service.
If you have any questions or concerns about our work with you during the pandemic, we invite you to contact us.
