Vera Kurlantzick, Professional Daily Money Manager, founded Mindful for You in Montgomery County, Maryland in 2011 to assist people whose lives are in transition by identifying goals, illuminating challenges, and offering solutions. Vera’s extensive background in analyzing expenditures and healthcare utilization allows her to understand people’s spending habits and healthcare needs.
A trained facilitator, Vera elicits her clients’ most heartfelt desires and concerns. Vera combines what she learns directly from a client with what she learns from examining their expenditures to create a plan of assistance.
Vera earned a Master’s Degree in Health Policy and Management from Harvard School of Public Health where she studied geriatrics, accounting and health economics. She subsequently worked for agencies involved in assessing health care quality, analyzing Medicare expenditures, and developing programs in health for people with disabilities.
Vera directed the Center for Health Care Quality Information at Pennsylvania Blue Shield for five years. She was part of the team developing The Continuity Assessment Record and Evaluation (CARE) Item Set for Medicare, designed to standardize assessment of patients’ medical, functional, cognitive, and social support status across acute and post-acute settings, including long-term care hospitals (LTCHs), inpatient rehabilitation facilities (IRFs), skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), and home health agencies (HHAs). Vera has a unique combination of experience analyzing expenditures and in-depth familiarity with all parts of the health system that led her to offer personal assistance and administrative services for the day to day financial, health and legal aspects of your life.
Vera is a Professional Daily Money Manager (PDMM). She achieved this distinction by meeting the American Association of Daily Money Managers’ (AADMM) strict eligibility requirements and passing an intensive examination.
